Chicago JA Members Receive Parking Discount
Members of the Chicago Jewelers Association will have the opportunity to have either a deeply discounted monthly or daily rate. In addition there will be a discount voucher available to be given to customers. These rates also apply to the employees of association members.

Smart Jewelry Show Announces New Date Pattern
Chicago, IL — The SMART Jewelry Show by INSTORE and INDESIGN has announced that the 2010 show will now open on Saturday. The new dates of the show are April 24–26, 2010 at Chicago’s Historic Navy Pier.
This exciting shift in days (now Saturday through Monday) was inspired by retailer, exhibitor and INSTORE Brain Squad survey responses. "Through this extensive research and in-depth discussions with the SMART Show Advisory Board, we are giving our customers what they’ve asked for to make the most of their show experience" said Jim Reed, Show Director.
A Saturday, Sunday, Monday show provides:
- a schedule that better fits the needs of the retailers, allowing more retailers to attend and benefit from the great buying opportunities and INSTORE style education.
- Stronger attendance over all three days, especially the last day of the show
- reduced exhibitor expenses as they will now move-in on a Friday on straight-time, instead of Saturday which is overtime.
"We took this decision very seriously as we realize this will affect those companies who observe the Sabbath," said Jim. "We have developed a program to highlight these exhibitors so that retailers can plan their show itinerary to see these companies on Sunday and Monday."
The Smart Jewelry Show will highlight these companies:
- on the show Web site
- in the Show Guide, and
- in selected broadcast e-mails about the show allowing the retailers to plan their shopping itinerary appropriately.
